My daughter's home was destroyed by a neighbor's tree yesterday.

As you can see, it looks like a bomb went off in the house. Her chimney was demolished. This picture is just of the living room. The damage goes through three other rooms. She was able to get a few items out of the house, but the rain has destroyed most of her furniture and other possessions, including her three children's beds, dressers, clothes, and toys. She will need to replace almost everything she owns.

She is waiting to hear from her insurance about what they will cover for the damage to the house. They have said it may take days to get an adjuster out to even survey the damage and schedule tree removal, during which time bad weather will continue to destroy those contents of her house that could not be removed, because parts of the house are blocked by limbs and debris. The roof is mostly gone now and yesterday's rain soaked everything.

Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated. My husband and I are on fixed incomes. We can provide a place for them to stay while they rebuild their lives, but not much else, unfortunately.

Rachel works very hard to provide for her family and is a great mom. Being the grandmother, I'm a little biased, but I couldn't ask for three better grandsons. They are wonderful boys, who have been through a lot in the past few years. They all could really use a break.
