Meet Rachel. A bright and eager early childhood educator and a fun, passionate manager at Mercado Luna. She has lived here in Seattle for 15 years and has been a beacon of love and care to those around her.

Unfortunately she is facing difficulties with her health and needs our help. Rachel has dealt with cancer in the past and has always preferred to handle things quietly, but she is now asking for help from her community.

She began having the same symptoms again, last October, and due to a lack of comprehensive and consistent health coverage she had put off getting checked out. She couldn’t wait for the promise of health insurance any longer, and got tested in April. Her results came back abnormal and she has been advised by her doctors to get further testing. She was set to have a surgical procedure to gather further biopsies in August but postponed due to a fear of lack of funds. She needs support to afford this care.

With Rachel's current uninsured status and the initial medical expenses she incurred has been a lot and has left her choosing between her health and financial stability, a decision no one should have to make. We refuse to let Rachel fight this alone. Every contribution, no matter how small, will directly support Rachel's journey towards healing.
