Help Rachel Laforest Recover!
Donation protected
At the beginning of October, Rachel Laforest was the victim of a sex crime in her home. This fundraiser will provide her the funds to move to a new home and support herself as she recovers, as she has not been able to work since the attack.
Since Rachel's birthday is November 1st, she asks that you consider donating in lieu of other birthday gifts!
More details regarding the incident are below. Please be aware that this is an ongoing case with the District Attorney’s office, and as such some details have been omitted.
Feel free to leave Rachel messages of love and encouragement in the comments on this page. If you reach out to her directly, please know that she feels your support and respect that she may not be able to get back to you quickly.
On Saturday, October 5th, a man broke into Rachel's room and waited for her to get home alone, when he attacked her. She was very fortunate and was able to escape him and contact the police. Eventually the man was arrested, positively ID’d by Rachel, and he is now being held on $1.1 million bail.
Rachel is doing her best to heal, but has not been able to work since the incident, and now has to move.
The money raised from this fundraiser will allow her to move to a new place and support herself as she recovers and continues to aid in the investigation and trial.
Let's do everything we can to help Rachel feel loved and supported!
