Hi, my name is Rachel. The past year has been really challenging. I got divorced and then moved halfway across the country. After finding a job, I was finally able to get into an apartment. Things were looking up until I lost my job. I had enough money to pay rent and buy a little food. After that, it has been rough as the job hunt hasn't paid off yet and I am looking towards the second half of the month with no money and no food. I don't have a car and use a bike to get around, so I can't even do things like Doordash. Now I need to be able to pay rent before the first or I am out. Everything that people give me will go to paying rent, my phone bill, and food in that order so I can keep looking for a job without being homeless in the coldest part of the year.
