Help Rachel Karzin Create Her Debut EP

Hiii! Before anything, I just want to start off by saying THANK YOU! Thanks for visiting my GoFundMe page! It means the world to me :) I am so excited about these next steps in my journey, and I am so glad you are here to support them!

My name is Rachel Karzin, and I am originally from Iowa! I moved to St. Louis for college back in 2022 and that is where I am now! I like to call myself a singer/songwriter, but I am still very new to all of this. I love singing, creating, and writing! You can find me @rachelkarzin on all social media platforms!! I just started writing my own music about 6 months ago, and let me just say that I have come a long long way since then. It has been a crazy ride but I am so glad that I started. I have always loved singing, ever since I was a kid, but I never had the courage to share that love with others. Last semester, I began sharing my voice with the world on social media, along with the original music I was writing. The response I received was so positive and hopeful. It made me wonder if I could make something out of this passion.

I really started dialing in on writing music. I had people asking me “where can I stream this?” and “when will this be released?” - I never thought that people would actually want to stream my music. I write music when I am happy, sad, angry, confused; the list goes on and on. I write about things that I struggle with and things that have happened to me. I write to express my emotions and how I am feeling. I write music to feel.

As I am writing this, I have my first studio session EVER in 2 days. Ekkkk! I cannot believe I am even saying that. None of this would be happening if it wasn't for the people that continue to support and believe in me, and my music. You know who you are, and I appreciate you more than you know! I saved up the money for this session for a while, and I am so excited to finally start working towards my goal to release music in 2024.

With that being said, while making music is exciting and fun, it's incredibly expensive to do so. My ultimate goal for this year is to release an EP, and it is going to take a lot of funds to make that happen. I am asking for $5000 to create this EP. Every penny of that amount will go directly toward making this happen. This will cover studio costs, musician costs, mixing costs, mastering costs, and even the fees that GoFundMe collects. It is a lot! BUT, if we hit this goal, then I will have an amazing final product that we can all be proud of AND I will have you guys to thank!
