After 3 long years, Julian was finally cleared for his kidney transplant and has been dealing with complications since his transplant surgery on April 24. We're so grateful for the ability to have the transplant but multiple complications have happened since the initial surgery, which was in Des Moines, Iowa.

Since then, our dear Rachel has had to travel back and forth from the hospital in Iowa back to home as his team works furiously to keep him stable. He's had to undergo surgery for infections and unfortunately lost the kidney last week. Now they're trying to save his leg function and have him on a ventilator in the ICU in Iowa. Rachel has had to postpone her new job and has been off of work the past few months while all of this has been taking place, while juggling family responsibilities and the realities of coronavirus at the same time.
