Hi all! If you don't know me, I go by Rachel Jay! I'm a singer/songwriter based out of San Diego, CA. In the past year or so, I've written some tunes which are near and dear to my heart. The positive feedback I've received from performing these songs has encouraged me to make the plunge and record them! I'm working with some wonderful local producers and musicians like Jeff Berkley, Lee Coulter and others. With that said, recording can be costly (though understandably so--the people I'm working with deserve what they get and more!)

I'm asking for financial support in order to produce my work. These funds will help to pay producers, musicians, and any costs related to the creation and distribution of my songs. I look forward keeping you all posted on the journey of creation as the fundraiser is going.

How can I encourage you to support me in my somewhat selfish endeavors? ;) Well...Writing has been an outlet for my human experience, and consequently a representation of other's lived experiences. Yearning, dreaming, love, humor, and heartache are some identifying words for my tunes. Some would say that I deliver them in an angelic voice that feels like honey. NOT MY WORDS ;) Anyway...I receive that some people resonate with my songs and I think there's value in sharing them. Money is just that annoying roadblock that makes some beautiful things difficult to manifest.
