At 0200 July 17th, our home caught fire. By God’s grace, everyone made it out safely but the damage was extensive. We’ve been displaced and are currently staying in temporary housing while working with insurance and recovery teams.
This has been emotionally and physically exhausting, but I’m so thankful for the support we’ve received so far. The Red Cross provided emergency help, and my sister has opened her home to us for the next few weeks. I’m holding onto faith and doing my best to stay strong for my family, but it’s a lot to navigate.
Friends, colleagues, and loved ones have asked how they can help, and truthfully, that’s not always been easy for me to accept. I’ve always been independent and try to handle things on my own. But I’m learning that it’s okay to receive help, especially in times like this.
If you feel led to support, through a donation, sharing this page, or even a prayer, I’m deeply grateful. Funds will go toward replacing essential items we lost, temporary living expenses, and getting back on our feet.
Thank you for your love, kindness, and continued support.
