We're friends and colleagues of Rachel's, coming together to provide some community support and mutual aid for her as she recovers from her surgery. Many of us have met Rachel through her incredible climate justice work, inviting us to reimagine flourishing communities - and we can help manifest flourishing in Rachel's life with these offerings.

As we well know, medical care in the US is blindingly expensive; and insurance only covers so much. In the spirit of community, we're trying to raise funds (with Rachel's permission) to assist in making Rachel's recovery less stressful, especially since we can't be on hand to do so in person. Our hope is to offset some of the expenses that aren't covered by insurance, which includes gas and other transportation costs related to seeing her medical team; hotel expenses related to her travel to her medical and surgical team; groceries and other meals; post-surgical or other out-of-pocket medical expenses; and any other expenses we haven't thought of that might arise during Rachel's recovery.
