Hello, my name is Rachel Grant. I live in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was born in the seaside community of Treasure Beach in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. My community was devastated for the second time in less than two years when Melissa hit us as a category 5 hurricane. Last year, St. Elizabeth bore the brunt of Hurricane Beryl. My family didn’t lose much then, but this year they were not as fortunate. They lost almost everything. I raised funds last year to help rebuild the community church and help others in the community, but this year I am here asking for funds to help my family rebuild from this horrible situation.

We’re trying to rebuild four homes. The hurricane tore the roof off of three of them, blew out windows, and destroyed furniture, clothes, and appliances. (You can see what's left of their homes in the photos above.) No donation is too small. Thank you all in advance for your support!
