*UPDATE...Rachel is now Stage 4. Due to Rachel not working the last 6 months, every day bills and medical bills are still coming. So we are reposting the gofundme in hopes to raise more money so Rachel and her family can focus on her health and not the stress of bills. She will start chemo again in hopes of giving her more time. Thank you for all that have donated in the past and continue to do so. My name is Kate Guldin and along with my son David we are making this for my daughter, Rachel Gantert Randler, who is only 39 and fighting cancer for the second time in her life. In 2011 she was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Clear Cell Sarcoma which she has currently been in remission from. However on December 7th 2020 she was diagnosed with stage 2 (possibly 3) Pancreatic Cancer. As you can imagine Rachel along with her husband Lee, daughter Kearsten and all her family and friends are completely shocked.
Rachel will be starting chemotherapy on January 8th for 3 months in hopes of shrinking the tumor and killing cancer cells in her body. She will then have half her pancreas removed (Distal pancreatectomy) followed by 3 more months of chemo. This is a very scary diagnosis and it's going to be a hard fight but we have to be positive for her. She is a wonderful wife and mother and her only wish is to see her daughter grow up. Our hope is to take as much stress off of her as we possibly can during this time. Bills have been adding up quickly and now Rachel and Lee will both be needing time off from work, and will need help covering medical debt that she will continue to accumulate in the coming year. I know times are tough for a lot of people right now, but any help you can give her would be very much appreciated. She is putting all her trust and faith in God and with the support from her family and friends we will continue to be hopeful. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
