Hi, my name is Rachel and I’m 41 years old.
I was diagnosed in December 2021 with a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer called Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). I underwent six rounds of chemotherapy, during which I developed neutropenic sepsis. I also had minor surgery and several radiotherapy sessions. I was then in remission for around three years.
In February 2025, I began experiencing ocular migraines, which progressively worsened. In March 2025, I was diagnosed with secondary cancer, with the disease having spread to my brain.
At that point, one brain met was found and I underwent surgery in May 2025 to remove it.
Unfortunately, the cancer continued to progress. After collapsing in November 2025, I was diagnosed with three further brain mets and underwent another brain surgery to remove them. Despite this, the disease has since progressed again.
I have also had multiple hospital admissions due to swelling in the brain (cerebral oedema), including a recent eight-day stay. I have been on and off steroids to manage this.
I am now on systematic treatment - weekly chemotherapy and immunotherapy sessions, until the end of August / beginning of September, alongside regular hospital monitoring and specialist care.
Alongside my medical treatment, I am also supporting my body through a holistic approach, including nutrition, supplements, and integrative therapies, alongside hospital care.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go towards supporting my ongoing treatment journey, travel to and from hospital appointments, possible accommodation when needed, complementary therapies, and high-quality supplements that are not always available on the NHS. It will also help support my strength, wellbeing, and day-to-day life during treatment.
Your kindness, generosity, and support mean more to me than I can ever fully express. Whether you are able to donate or simply share my story, I am deeply grateful. It truly makes a difference in helping me keep going.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
