Help Rachel Cover Emergency Vet Bills
Donation protected
My name is Rachel and I’m asking for a little help. Someone left this little dog to die in the road after hitting it. I rushed it to the vet and it will be fine. There’s no broken bones or internal injuries, but the vet has to keep him as protocol for rabies since it’s a stray. I am willing to keep it until claimed or foster it, but it has racked up a $765.70 bill. I just don’t have the extra money for an emergency vet visit. If anyone would like to donate to help with vet bills I would appreciate it.
***UPDATE***
I spoke with the vet and after further assessment he said that the little guy has been living on the streets for a while. He is under weight, skittish of people, needs a good grooming and isn’t taking to dog food. They are feeding him boiled chicken. Also doesn’t seem that he was ran over but hit, maybe car swerved or he got out the way just in time. He was laying in the middle of the road so not sure. He is still being held for the 10 day quarantine and each day is adding up. I paid the $400 upfront, but I’m still needing a little assistance. I get to pick him up next Friday the 25. Any donations or shares is appreciated. I also have other ways you could donate if you rather other ways, because go find me keeps a percentage. I have cash app, Venmo and Zelle. For some reason the vet is telling people who have called that they can’t accept donations. I have named him Petey. I am hoping to go see him tomorrow maybe, but with the hold I am not sure if it’s allowed. I appreciate all the love, support and donations.
***UPDATE*** 10/30/2024
I was able to get Petey home and we have been home for a couple of days. I have learned that apparently the VET didn’t really do much with the poor baby. For one PETEY DOES NOT HAVE A WEENIE. Therefore Petey is a girl. The 10 days the dog was in the vet they did not notice that she isn’t a boy. 2nd they did not give her a bath, shots or any type of exam beside the 1 emergency exam. So she still has dried up blood on her, covered in fleas, matted hair and over grown nails. Not sure why it cost $800. Now I am having to earn her trust because obviously she was not being handle as they said. I know will come up with more money to have her to be fully examined, heart worm tested, vaccinations and spayed. I was charged $42 for rabies shot and then $20 for the rabies tag. She is slowly coming around but not able to bath her yet. She needs a good flea treatment bath and grooming. I am leaving this up for a few more weeks in case people would still like to donate it will go towards the care of her with vaccinations, spayed and grooming.
I want to thank EVERYONE that has donated from the bottom of my heart and couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️❤️❤️we have reached our goal to bring her home. Now to get her fully recovered and living a regular doggy lifestyle.
