Earlier this year, Rachel went to the ER and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer - stage 4. As you can imagine, this news has been devastating for her and her loved ones. We, her children, are still healing both, emotionally and financially, from the death of our father and Rachel's husband, Danny, who lost his life to Covid in late 2021. While we are overwhelmed with emotion and finding the strength to support her through this painful journey, her medical needs are constantly changing and growing. Unfortunately, her type of insurance does not cover the cost of the medication needed, before each chemo treatment. We applied for multiple financial assistance programs, but we were denied.

Many of you know that Rachel is an avid member of the deaf community and her church. She is not only a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, but she also shares loving friendships with many. We would like for our mother's focus to not be consumed by financial stress, so we created this GoFundMe to help with the cost of her medication.
