Hi everyone, it's me, Rachel. Dad and I have been having a pretty rough time this past year or so. We lost Karla to cancer, and Bert and Oliver (Dad and Karla's beloved cats) have passed on as well. Then just a couple of months ago, Dad had a stroke that he's still recovering from. In the meantime, I've been doing my best to take care of him and the house.

Unfortunately, just around the time Dad first had the stroke, fleas started to appear in the house. I was so preoccupied with visiting Dad in the hospital while not at work that I didn't notice quickly enough to stop them from spreading early. Now it's been almost two months and the problem is still here and making it even harder to just live in our home. I've spent a bunch of money on flea sprays, traps, and powders, but it's not enough and I need professional help with this.

I'm hoping to raise enough money to pay for the pest control bill, specifically $600 that was quoted to me for an eco-friendly treatment so the house isn't full of poison. It would also be an immense help to me afterward to be able to hire someone to help me clean the house afterward. I normally pay for monthly pest control on my own, but this is out of my current budget what with the money I've already had to spend.

I would appreciate anything anyone can give, even if it's just a few dollars. Thank you very much.
