Help Michael & Rachel Through A Rough Patch
Donation protected
Dear Family & Friends,
We need to ask for your help.
After 20 years of dedicated service to her students in Los Angeles, the school district has forced Rachel into a situation where she has been on unpaid leave for the past few months. She is working with her union to get this matter resolved, but in the meantime, we are down to one income only. Unfortunately, this rough patch has left us short in our ability to pay rent, while also having enough money for food and other bills.
We have paired things down, while hustling to come up with extra money. Rachel is talking to the state about cashing in her retirement, while at the same time applying for assistance programs and doing everything she can to get back to work. Michael has been selling his comic book collection. These sacrifices have made possible the ability to pay utility bills and May rent. We find ourselves now in the same situation for June. The landlords are no longer willing to work with us.
Bothering our loved ones is the last thing we want to do, but we find ourselves with no alternative at this time. There is a light at the end of this tunnel, and we feel a resolution by August, but we really need some help until we get there.
We are not asking for a loan, because we will have no realistic way to pay it back in the near future. We offer our eternal thanks and gratitude for whatever assistance you can give us, guaranteeing that we will help in any way that we can when asked.
We Thank You All and We Love You All!
