Help Rachel Apostle & JJ Fight for Stability This Holiday Season
Hi Everyone!
Our names are Nichol’ & Steffanie Apostle. We have started this GoFundMe for our incredible little sister, Rachel Apostle. Rachel Apostle is a devoted single mother to her son, JJ, who will be celebrating his 12th birthday this December. They also have a loving dog who is part of their small family.
A Sudden and Critical Health Crisis
A few weeks ago, Rachel Apostle was rushed to a Boston hospital where doctors discovered she was suffering from severe internal bleeding. It was so critical that she required three immediate blood transfusions just to stabilize her condition.
In the following week, a planned minor surgery had to be stopped abruptly because she lost so much blood during the procedure that she nearly coded. The seriousness of her situation cannot be overstated. Doctors have now scheduled an emergency, high-risk surgery for the day after Thanksgiving. She cannot push this off—it is urgently needed for her survival. Until the surgery, she must continue regular doctor visits and blood transfusions.
The Financial Strain of Survival
Rachel Apostle lives on her own with JJ and works tirelessly, often seven days a week, just to cover their basic bills and get by. Rachel Apostle does not have employee benefits or sick time, no vacation time, and no safety net.
This emergency surgery means Rachel Apostle will be completely out of work for at least 4-6 weeks, if not longer, for recovery.
As we approach the highest-cost time of the year—with the general cost of living, groceries, JJ's birthday in December, and the holidays—it will be next to impossible for her to survive this period without immediate support. Rachel needs to focus 100% on healing, not worrying about eviction or feeding her son.
How Your Donation Helps
We are aiming to raise enough money to cover their essential needs while Rachel is unable to earn an income:
Rent and Utilities: Covering the rent for at least two to three months to ensure they remain safely housed.
Groceries and Bills: Providing funds for food, medicine, and essential living expenses.
A Light for JJ: Ensuring JJ’s 12th birthday and the holidays can still be celebrated, giving him and Rachel a much-needed moment of joy during this frightening time.
As we approach this holiday season, we hope you can find it in your heart to make a small donation for a great cause—keeping a mother healthy and a family stable.
Any amount helps and will be greatly appreciated. Please share this link with your friends and family. Let us all pull together to help Rachel get through this urgent medical crisis and recovery period!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
— Nichol’ and Steffanie Apostle (Rachel’s sisters)
