Hi, my name is Rachel, and I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask for help like this.
I am a single mom to my 13-year-old daughter, Ella, and over the past several months, our lives have been turned upside down.
I have been battling serious health conditions, including lupus and Sjögren’s syndrome, which have caused multiple hospitalizations — some lasting 5–10 days at a time. Because of my declining health, I lost the job I had worked so hard to maintain for 8 years.
Since then, everything has become overwhelming.
Our electricity and water have been shut off multiple times, and we are now facing eviction. I have reached out to every local resource available, but unfortunately, those options have already been exhausted.
Right now, we urgently need $3,000 just to stabilize our situation — to keep a roof over our heads, restore utilities, and cover basic necessities.
Our total goal of $30,000 would allow me the time I need to focus on my health, continue necessary medical care, and rebuild a safe and stable life for both myself and my daughter.
Not being able to provide stability for Ella has been the hardest part of all of this. She deserves security, comfort, and a place to feel safe, and I am doing everything I can to make that happen.
If you are able to help in any way — whether by donating or simply sharing — it would mean more than I can put into words.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give.
With gratitude,
Rachel
