Help Rachel Access Life-Saving Treatment for Anorexia
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out on behalf of my best friend, Rachel, a beautiful, strong, and determined 24-year-old from New Jersey who has been battling the relentless grip of anorexia for many years.
Despite her incredible courage and resilience, Rachel has faced immense barriers to receiving consistent, stable inpatient care. Due to her family’s financial struggles and lack of insurance, she’s been trapped in a heartbreaking cycle: admitted to inpatient care only to be discharged the moment she’s deemed “medically stable,” leaving her without the ongoing support she desperately needs to heal.
In her fight for survival, Rachel made the brave decision to leave her family and move across the country to California, seeking better opportunities for care. Unfortunately, the roadblocks remain overwhelming without insurance or the financial resources to access treatment.
Rachel is scared. Her body is shutting down, and every day feels more uncertain. But most importantly—Rachel wants to get better. She wants to live. She has so much love to give, dreams to chase, and a future she’s fighting to reclaim.
We’re raising $50,000 to help Rachel access the life-saving inpatient treatment and ongoing support she urgently needs. Here’s how the funds will be used:
• Inpatient Treatment: $35,000 for approximately 30 days of care at a specialized eating disorder treatment center.
• Follow-Up Care: $15,000 for outpatient therapy, nutritional counseling, and continued treatment support after discharge.
No one should have to fight for their life alone. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring Rachel one step closer to the care and stability she deserves. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign means the world to us.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support. Let’s show Rachel she’s not alone in this fight.
With Gratitude,
