A few days ago, Rachael went in for an MRI after dealing with symptoms that had become increasingly hard to ignore. The scan found a large mass in her brain.

She is currently hospitalized and will have brain surgery on Thursday, October 8. During surgery, doctors will take a biopsy to determine exactly what they are dealing with and what treatment may look like afterward. Right now, there are still a lot of unknowns.

Rachael and Joey are doing their best to keep life as steady as possible for their son, Oli, while Rachael is in the hospital and prepares for surgery + recovery. Joey will eventually need to keep working, and Oli will still need childcare and his normal routine.

This fundraiser is here to help take some of the practical pressure off their family: medical expenses, childcare, lost work time, travel and treatment-related costs, and the regular bills that keep coming during a medical emergency.
