My sister, Rachael, was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer at the beginning of December. She has been in so much pain in her abdomen, not only from the cancer but from fluid build up that has to be drained from her abdomen. She has been in and out of the hospital, going to appointments, having chemotherapy, and other medical interventions but they are not working and the cancer is taking its toll. At this point hospice is the only option so she can go home and be comfortable.

There have been many things she has fought for in the 48 years she has been on Earth. This is the second time she has fought for her life and this time that enemy is her own body. She has been so strong and has fought as hard and as long as her body would let her. She is ready to go home and spend her last bit of time with her family. That is why I am making this GoFundMe. We need to be able to get her 3 boys home, they all live out of state. We need to be able to get them home by paying for flights and for them to not worry about missing too much work. They need to be able to afford paying on bills prior to coming.

Rachael has not been able to work since December but has had some financial back up until now. If you know my sister you know she hates asking anyone for anything. She is the definition of independent. She hates having to depend on anyone. She has been worrying about bills, getting her kids home to spend time with them, and everything else that goes along with it far more than she has worried about her self. She is worried about what she is leaving behind for them to take care of.

My sister has been my rock my entire life. She’s not only my big sister but she is my second mom. She’s helped raise me. She is one of my best friends. I don’t want her to have to worry about anything or what she’s leaving behind. If this is one thing I can take care of for her so she has one less

thing on her mind at the end, then that’s what I’m doing. Any amount will help.
