Help Rachael & Phil raise money for a cuddle cot
In memory of our beautiful baby Jaylarni, we are trying to raise funds to purchase a cuddle cot for our local special care baby unit (RVI, Newcastle). A cuddle cot is a small cot with a cooling system which allows families to spend more time with their babies after they have passed away.
Jaylarni was born at 24+6 weeks weighing a tiny 15 ounces. She was then admitted to special care where she spent her 22 days of life being looked after by the amazing doctors and nurses. The special care unit has an amazing charity that works alongside them called Tiny Lives who do all sorts for parents and siblings. They provide siblings with little packs that try to explain what is happening to their brother or sister, and they also help parents with funding for transport and also accommodation if they live far away.
While we only spent 22 days there with Jaylarni, I have previously spent 3 months on the unit with my daughter Jazmyn who is now 7 years old, and the care we recieved back then was just as amazing as it was this time.
I honestly have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff on the unit and can't thank them enough.
