Help Rachael Lee fight cancer!

My name is Genevieve(aka Genny) Holmes and I'm raising money to help my dearest friend of 30 years beat cancer. On December 30th, Rachael Lee was diagnosed with a rare form of thyroid cancer(medullary) and will be having surgery on January 11th to remove her thyroid along with any involved lymphnodes. Rachael is a single mother and will have to be out of work for several weeks to recover, not to mention the work she has missed in order to quarantine prior to surgery. Her job does not have benefits such as paid sick leave or paid time off. Rachael needs our help now. Money is needed to help cover the medical expenses and missed wages so that she can pay her bills and focus on her health as well as taking care of her adorable 9 year old son, Decker. The last thing that Rachael needs is to have financial stress in her life while she is recovering. They are hopeful that the cancer is in the early stages but will know more after the surgery and pathology report. It's possible that there will be a need for further treatment post surgery, but this is all we know for now. Rachael is a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and best friend and does not deserve this. She has overcome many struggles already and I have no doubt that she will beat this too!
