Some of y'all might know me, my name is Shawn. You may also know I have a sister Rachael, I'm setting this up for her and her two sons.

Tuesday night Rachael was involved in a horrifying head on collision. We don't know how long she'll be in the hospital but suffice it to say, she's still there now. While we thank God that both she and her son are alive, the list of injuries is long.

Rachael has a brain bleed, 9 broken ribs, a punctured lung, a ruptured adrenal gland, fractures in her pelvis and a shattered elbow. Her son, who is only 8 years old, has a lacerated kidney, a bruised lung, a broken arm on one side, and a sprained wrist on the other. When everyone gets home, it will be a long road to recovery.

Those that know Rachael know she has worked hard to build her own business as a massage therapist, working out of her office in Cairo. Rachael has always been involved in the community and has been a coach at her son's school for various sports teams, and her life revolves around her two boys.

Additionally, Rachael's job as a massage therapist requires use of her whole body. After this accident, she won't be working anytime soon.

Rachael has a lot of blurry memories from the accident, but in and out of consciousness at the hospital the first night she could remember her Christmas presents scattered on the road in front of her while she was stuck inside the vehicle- before they were able to pull the doors apart to get her out. Most of those presents cannot be recovered. And the car she was driving, she had just purchased that two weeks prior to this collision. It did save her and her son's life, but there's almost nothing left of it.

I am asking for anyone who can, to reach out and give what you can, even if all you have to give are prayers.

We're raising money for Rachel's and her son's most immediate needs as her income stopped the moment that vehicle hit her. Insurance will only go so far and we now know will take some time to process.
