Help Rach support animals in Morocco - A 55th birthday gift

My Story:
Hi, I’m Rach Riffia, and this is my very first birthday fundraiser.
I came to Morocco just before the pandemic, looking for a big house to host a Shamanic ceremony — unaware that my life was about to take a completely different direction.
Unable to return to the UK, I began learning the local dialect (Darija) and gradually reconnected with the land and my ancestors. There’s so much more I could share… and one day, I might.
Then one little cat changed everything. I adopted her from the street and named her Sparkle, because she genuinely brought a spark into my life.
Sparkle had kittens, and over time her family grew. Now we have Sparkle, her children, her grandchildren, and more. Over 50% of the cats and kittens in our care were adopted from the streets or found at our doorstep, hungry and searching for love.
We now care for:
• 29 cats
• 1 dog
• 15 chickens
• 1 turtle
• ️ several doves
I’ve witnessed heartbreaking moments — animals dying in the streets from hunger, disease, or neglect. I’ve used all my savings to help as many as I possibly could and I've registered a local association and have many projects in the pipeline all intended to help care for our animal kingdom and the local community.
If it weren’t for my incredible sister, whose generosity has kept us afloat, I truly don’t know where we’d be.
I say we, because I’m not alone in this journey. My friend and I have been working side by side, and recently, a wonderful young volunteer from London joined us to help care for the animals and support the work we do every day.
So this year, for my 55th birthday, I’m asking you — my friends, family, and followers — to consider helping us.
Even a cup of coffee, a pint of beer, or a Guinness (virtually!); which is my drink if I was in London, can help feed or treat an animal.
Every donation goes directly to food, shelter, medical care, and supplies and some will go to help the most vulnerable humans that we know.
We’ll also share photos showing exactly where your contribution goes — transparency and love are at the heart of everything we do.
This is just the beginning. I hope to launch more initiatives and share other good causes through our non-profit Oum Tribe Association Larache.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for caring.
With deep gratitude,
Rach Riffia
