Hello, my name is Jenny Hart, I live in California and I'm organizing this fundraiser for Rabih Hussein and his family: Asmaa, Basma, Shaima, May, Mohammed, Ola, Ghada, Kenan, Dema who are currently displaced in Rafah in the Gaza Strip, (they are from Gaza City) they are under siege by the Israeli forces and in desperate need of funds for food, shelter and rebuilding their lives. Their apartment building was destroyed, and they have been displaced multiple times. They are constantly anticipating attacks and are terrified.

I am in a neighborhood full of displaced people. The Israeli military is constantly threatening to storm and destroy it, so we are preparing to leave it at any moment. What I saw in the video there is even more horrific. There are entire neighborhoods that have been wiped off the map, including the neighborhood in which I was born and from which I was displaced.

One day we were subjected to continuous bombing for 12 hours, which extended and reached our house. The house was bombed while I was in it. I came out from under the rubble.

Rabih contacted me by dm on social media asking for help. Their home in Gaza City was bombed while they were in it. The top floor was destroyed, while they were on the first floor. They fled Gaza City, repeatedly displaced and now in Rafah. Here is a video of their home Rabih took before they fled. He doesn't know the current state of his neighborhood.

I cannot provide Rabih with all the funds his family needs for food, shelter, and eventual rebuilding efforts but I can ask you to help me help him. Rabih is 28 years old, funny and very sweet. We have been talking via WhatsApp since he contacted me. What is being done to Gazans is horrific beyond imagining. Young men of Gaza are desperate to work, be of help to their families and know peace in their lives. 100% of the funds raised will be sent to Rabih by me. We have already confirmed the ability to send funds successfully, directly, instantly. Please consider giving anything you can with everything you've got. I will make updates here as needed. March 21, 2024: Thank you for bouncing us past the $4k mark! We can't believe it! Thank you, thank you. Rabih says he is well, but I know he is not. He suffers from migraines, his father has a heart condition that is currently being untreated, and his aunt and her husband were injured in a bombing, which killed their two small children, Rabih's cousins. He is not "fine". How could he possibly be? He is alive and surviving. He gives me glimpses of the horror and then also sends me pictures of far-off, peaceful, organized, beautiful places. I cannot imagine anyone, any human being expected to endure this level of terror, death, destruction, starvation, and endless killing of their families. He needs to know he has a future and is able to support his siblings, which is his chief concern.
