Help Rabia Elementary School Build a Future for Its Children

Faisalabad, Pakistan | Goal: £5,000
In the heart of Faisalabad, Pakistan, a small Christian elementary school - Rabia Elementary School - is doing everything it can to provide education to children who are often overlooked and underserved. But they need our help.
These children are currently studying in the most humble of conditions - sitting on worn-out rugs on the floor, with no desks, no chairs, and less than the bare minimum when it comes to classroom necessities.
Even more urgently - there is no toilet on site. The children have to relieve themselves outside a nearby field, a reality that is not only undignified but unsafe, especially for young girls. There is no clean water supply either. Their only source of water is a running canal, which is not suitable for drinking or safe hygiene.
In the blistering summer months, temperatures soar to 50°C (122°F), and with no fans or cooling of any kind, the classrooms become unbearably hot. It’s difficult to imagine focusing, let alone learning, while sweating through extreme heat on the floor with no relief. The children endure this discomfort daily—with no ventilation, no drinking water, and no basic comfort—simply because they want an education.
This is a private Christian school start-up, which means there is no government funding. Many of the students come from extremely poor Christian families, a community that already faces intense persecution in Pakistan. And yet, they persevere.
We are launching this GoFundMe with a realistic initial goal of £5,000 - enough to begin desperately needed renovations:
• Providing desks and chairs for the classrooms
• Replacing worn-out rugs
• Installing a proper toilet facility
• Purchasing a fan or air conditioning unit to combat the intense heat
• Installing a clean drinking water dispenser
• Creating a safe play area - because every child deserves joy, not just survival
A Vision for the Future: Skill-Building That Empowers
One of our dreams for this school is to purchase sewing machines. Even a small number would allow the older children - especially girls - to learn a skill that could provide a steady, sustainable income. In communities like this, a sewing machine isn’t just a tool - it’s a lifeline.
This would give children more than just an education. It would give them a way to build their own futures, with dignity and independence.
Why This Matters
To our fellow Christians and compassionate supporters: this is a call to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in faith who are facing extreme challenges, simply for their desire to educate their children.
This is about more than comfort - it’s about safety, dignity, and opportunity.
