Help Raama recover from Abuse

Hey all.

On Saturday the 15th March my neighbour called to let me know my cat had collapsed in her yard. We found my cat Raama In her yard unable to walk and with some puncture wounds. (Consistent with being bitten by something)

He’s been rushed to ARH Canberra where they’re running extensive tests to work out what’s happened.

I tracked his air tag to a house on Karabar st Queanbeyan, to where my partner knocked on his door and asked if we could collect the tag from his yard. The guys response?

“If I see your fucking cat in my yard again, I’m going to kill it!”

Fast forward to now. The vet is certain his injuries are from blunt force trauma.

We assume this man has KICKED Raama hard enough to potentially cause spinal injuries. Raama has blood readings that are consistent with that, and he is still not walking. As for the punctures he’s probably been grabbed by a dog or another cat while he can’t get away.

We’ve taken this to the police and while they’re certain this guy has kicked Raama. They can’t do anything about it.

We need help! We need this to go public. We need tougher animal rights laws.

To date his vet fees are up to $7k. We need help!

Edited to add: we were saving up for a cat net. But now we’ve had to use all of the savings we had on his recovery. He is the only cat of my 3 that can clear my close to 7 foot fence. He’s an escape artist.

Edit #2: we found his tracker. It’s been thrown over the fence from the guys place. It had a very very sturdy keyring which is nowhere to be found.
