Help "Trooper"! Found in Florida on I75, injured.

This is "Trooper" the Doxy, as we named him this because he is being such a brave lil'Trooper after what he has gone through.  My name is Lisa, and my friend Erin,  and I left Saturday morning  (3-9-19) from Cape Coral Florida on I-75. As we zoomed past approximate area of mile marker 449/450 heading out of Florida,  I glanced at the guardrail and was shocked to see this little brown dog sitting under the guardrail, in the middle of the median! I hit the breaks and pulled over into center median the best I could,  threw it into reverse and slowly backed up with traffic zooming past me,  some honking. I didn't care,  I had to get to that little dog!! I grabbed my dog's leash and Erin gave me some soft dog treats,  I jumped out of van,  and walked the rest of way to him. He tried to hide into the grass and weeds and I noticed the poor thing was trying to drag his back legs with him! OMG,  I almost started bawling!  I slowly reached out to him,  gave him a treat that he wolfed down,  he let me pet him,  I gave another treat. He was so weak!  Erin backed the van up closer as I put leash over his head,  he didn't fight,  didn't bite,  just looked at me with these BIG,  SAD, BROWN eyes,  pleading for help!  Mean while,  a Florida Cop pulled up and was telling Erin we should not be parked there,  thought we were having a "lovers spat" or something. . Anyway, she  told him about lil'dog. He said he could not take it but he wouldn't stop us from taking it. . Like he's was going to stop me, lol! Erin brought me a blanket,  I laid it on him to pick him up. OMG,  he is skin n bones, nothing to him,  ribs sticking out and non working back legs and covered in ticks..  We gave him a few more treats, and water that he drank so fast! We googled nearest vet,  all closed already since Saturday. Found a shelter,  went there to get scanned for microchip,  no chip.  They Checked and no "lost" dogs from area matching him. I said I'm taking him back home with me,  what do we do. ... Bathe in DAWN,  remove dead ticks. They then gave us flea and tick stuff to put on him tomorrow, and gave us a leash for him. Couple hours later,  a little more water and a cheeseburger (only 1/4 bun) that magically disappeared in almost an instant! Repeated another couple hours later.  While riding he started moving around a little.  Stuck to my side. He slept most of day, peacefully.. By tonight,  he's  trying to walk on his own,  even when he falls over. Went all day without peeing but had accident on floor tonight. I have never ever seen such concentrated pee! But at least he went finally!  This little boy (unaltered) is the sweetest,  trusting,  and grateful little being! BUT,  now we need your help!  He will need a physical exam,  x-rays, vaccinations,  heartworm check/treatment or preventive, neutered,  food,  treats TOYS etc! He has come so far already today but definitely has an injury  as there are already healing abrasions on his rear legs, nose etc..  He has seemed to claim me as his, and whimpers if I leave him and will try to find me.. It breaks my heart to think how many days he sat there alone,  injured,  slowly dying, in pain,  as thousands of vehicles whizzed past him daily.  Plus the last couple nights were cold.  How could not one other person,  see him and care enough to help him?!?  They say GOD puts you where  you need to be.  I needed to save him! But I could really use some help from anyone who can.  I'm changing my starting  goal to $2000 after the first Vet consult today.  Please consider helping me,  continue to help this sweet baby! Please please share Lil'Troopers story! Thank you! Blessing to all! ❤ I will continue to update Troopers info..
