Hey friends, it’s me again. I am in need of resources to relocate. The reason is really complex but basically I can’t get healthcare where I am due to some loophole in the ACA healthcare laws. My expenses are sitting at about $2,000 for the move and immediate shelter while getting into services in the new location. This $2,000 will be spent on a flight, a place to sleep for 2-4 weeks, transportation to and from the airport, a ups box so I can have an official address to get mail and packages and apply for jobs, and the shipping of my computer (too big to fly safely and can’t get enough out of selling it to make it worth it to lose it). Anything left will go toward food or my emergency fund which is currently at $0. I have about a week to 10 days to raise this money. I have already started calling resources in the new area and applying for jobs there as well. Most services require you to be physically in the state to sign up to get services so all I’ve been able to do is gather information on who could help and where to start once I’m there. This money will get me there and give me the time to get into services and/or get a job to afford staying in temporary housing. My story is long and complicated and overwhelming. I am a familial childhood sex trafficking survivor, a genderqueer trans guy, a ‘serious mental illness’ haver, a differently abled individual, an activist, a survivor leader, and a bit of a nerd for certain things. This will be my 3rd (and hopefully last) interstate move in less than a year. I am on a really good path right now. I just need monetary help to make it happen!
