Quinn is my parents’ beloved guide dog on their game farm, and she means the world to our family. Recently, during a hunting trip, Quinn was accidentally struck by a shotgun BB when a hunter tried to shoot a bird. At first, she came home from the vet with some bumps and bruises, but after a few days of not eating or drinking, we knew something was seriously wrong. We rushed her to the emergency vet hospital, where x-rays and tests revealed she needed surgery right away. The only place available was in Arden Hills, so we drove her there as quickly as possible. Within hours, Quinn was in surgery, and the vets discovered a small puncture in her colon that had caused a dangerous infection. Before we even reached the surgery table, we had already spent thousands on her care, and the surgery itself required a huge upfront payment. With only a 50% chance of survival, we made the difficult decision to go ahead, hoping for the best.

Quinn is now 24 hours out of surgery and fighting hard to recover. The next few days are critical as she needs to eat, pass stool, and avoid infection. We are doing everything we can to help her heal and bring her home, but the financial burden is overwhelming. We are reaching out for prayers and support for Quinn during these challenging times.
