Hi - I'm Quinn. After nine years with the same company, I was abruptly pushed out of my job two weeks ago, right as I was being told I'd be promoted. The way it happened blindsided even my own managers. I'm not going to relitigate the whole thing here, but the short version is: I lost my income with no warning, and I'm now trying to get myself out of Georgia and to where my partner lives in Philadelphia, somewhere I'll be safer and more supported.

I'm also recovering from surgery right now, which means I can't lift anything heavy for a while - so on top of everything, the physical work of packing and moving is something I'm going to need help with.

I've already filed for unemployment, but there's a paperwork snag holding up any payments, and even once it's sorted it won't cover the immediate cost of getting out. To break my lease and relocate, I need to cover:

June rent + utilities: $1,621

July rent + utilities: $1,621

Lease break fee: $1,495

That's about $4,700 just to get out the door, before the actual cost of moving, hiring people to help pack, transporting myself, the uhaul, etc. Anything toward that helps more than I can say - and if you can't give, sharing this is just as valuable. Thank you for being in my corner.
