Dear Friends and Supporters of Natalie and Quincy this fundraiser is to support the medical expenses for Quincy in hopes of easing some of the financial burden. Quincy is an energetic and full of life 7-year-old whose favorite things in life are enjoying a few donuts, snuggling up and spending time with his mama and kitties. On November 11, Quincy was admitted to Norton Children's Hospital due to having worsening hand and arm weakness. Our hearts were shattered when the MRI concluded a spinal tumor and immediately surgery was scheduled. The pathology diagnosis was Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor grade IV. A very rare and aggressive form of cancer. There was continued shock with the most recent MRI that indicated the tumor that had been mostly removed had grown back larger. He was discharged home Dec. 8. It has been a difficult transition back due to the severe physical limitations the tumor and surgery have caused. Natalie must provide all of his care from toileting, showering, eating and positioning. Radiation will be started now to stop this Cancer in its tracks. Quincy will be facing 30 sessions of radiation over the next 6 weeks driving back and forth to Louisville for treatment. This time has been devastating for Natalie. She is unable to work and devotes every second to Quincy's care. They have been overwhelmed with the prayers, generous acts and love that people have shown. Thank you for your support and continued prayers!
