Support Quinci in her recovery from brain surgery
Donation protected
My kind hearted, beautiful, and outgoing sister Quinci was diagnosed with a temporal lobe brain tumor and intractable seizures. We are hopeful her upcoming surgery (craniotomy with anterior temporal lobe resection) will be successful. While this diagnosis has been scary, it has also answered some questions about her frequent debilitating seizures. These relentless attacks have robbed her of her independence, her ability to work, and her quality of life. She was diagnosed with epilepsy in March 2022 but doctors and our family knew something wasn't quite right and continued to pursue her medical case through multiple procedures, tests, and doctors appointments. We are grateful for the expertise of University of Iowa's neurology/neurosurgery team who have taken on Quinci's complex case. We are hoping the tumor is not cancerous however we won't have an answer until they can biopsy it. We're caught in a storm of worry and the unknown right now. We are here to help support her recovery.
This week we are going to Iowa City for her surgery. Quinci will have to be awake during her surgery to avoid damage to speech and critical brain functions. No matter what happens Quinci will have a long road to recovery. This is a tremendous financial burden for a 22 year old and that's why we have created this page asking for your help. Any and all donations will help with medical bills, up coming appointments, and living cost. Prayers are also appreciated and welcomed. We are incredibly thankful for everyone's support.
**Update 4/12/25**
We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support, well wishes, and prayer for Quinci. Her surgery went well thanks to the neurosurgeons and Quinci’s incredible strength. We are optimistic as she continues on her journey of healing.
