UPDATE October 21st
Baby Theo arrived at just 29 weeks via emergency C-section. Every moment in the NICU is vital, and we’re doing everything we can to help Rizza and Quin to help cover the costs. Your support will help him get all the care he needs to grow strong and healthy.
New information in Rizza's post below!
Lovely humans
I am organising this fundraiser as a personal initiative or behalf of Quin (from my team) and his wonderful wife Rizza in the Philippines .
They’re preparing to welcome their baby, but overwhelming medical bills are putting their home at risk. Let’s come together to support them so they can focus on bringing their baby to term and keep their home. Every contribution and penny makes a difference.

"Hi, my name is Rizza, and my husband Quin and I have been praying for a baby for 10 years. This year, God finally answered our prayers.
It’s been a long and difficult journey. I’ve been hospitalized four times during this pregnancy (at 10, 19, 23, and 29 weeks) due to bleeding and contractions. I was diagnosed with placenta previa, a condition that puts both me and our baby at risk.
On October 3, (not long after my last hospitalization) I was rushed to the hospital again because of continuous bleeding and strong contractions. It reached a critical point for both me and our baby, and my doctor had to perform an emergency C-section.
That day, our little Theo came into the world at 29 weeks and 6 days - tiny, fragile, and fighting for his life. He weighed only 1,285 grams (2.8 lbs) and had to be placed immediately in an incubator, connected to a mechanical ventilator, IV fluids, and an OGT tube to help him survive. He also needed a blood transfusion on his first day due to low hemoglobin.
Although his condition has improved, Theo still needs to stay in the NICU until his doctors confirm that he’s strong enough to survive on his own. So far, I have only been able to touch his tiny hand through the incubator. My only connection with him right now is my breast milk, which the nurses feed to him every day.
Here in the Philippines, pregnancy complications and NICU expenses are not covered by insurance, so all medical costs are paid out of pocket. On top of the debt we incurred due to being hospitalize for several times, it currently costs us almost $1,000 per day to keep Theo in the hospital. Since I haven’t been able to work, we’ve been relying solely on Quin’s income to manage daily expenses, hospital bills, and medications - all while still paying for our first home and car.
Despite everything, we continue to pray and believe that God will carry us through this. We’re doing everything we can to give Theo the care he needs to grow stronger and finally come home.
If you’re able to help us - through a donation, a prayer, or even by sharing our story - we’d be forever grateful. Every bit of support brings us closer to holding our miracle baby in our arms.
