Help Quentin Thomas Overcome Medical Challenges

My name is Quentin Thomas and I'm currently 41 years old. I have been working my entire life from the age of 16. I recently have been faced with Congestive Heart failure on top of my Chronic Blood Disorder called Thalassemia. I was diagnosed with Beta-Thalassemia at the age of 5 and began treatment then. This included weekly visits to the hospital and stays every week to every 2 weeks as I began to get older. Treatments for my Beta-thalassemia depend on the type and how serious it is.

Blood transfusions are the main way to treat severe thalassemia followed by Iron Chelation to remove excess Iron as much as possible.

After receiving regular blood transfusions this puts me at risk for certain complications such as iron overload, alloimmunization (a harmful immune reaction), and infection.

I receive transfusions and ongoing treatment to remove excess iron before it builds up and damages the organs and manage the chronic joint and bone pain associated with Beta-Thalassemia. Recently I have suffered from Congestive Heart Failure due to the effects from the Thalassemia. My wife Alana has been so supportive of me this whole time, but with me off work and not able to help around the house as much. My wife has been working and then working harder at the house. With our 2 children getting ready for school and getting older I am hoping to get cleared as soon as I can to return to work. Our faith in the Lord has helped us get through these tough times. We would be very grateful for any donation or assistance you could help us with. As the medical bills start accumulating as well as the normal utilities we are trying to do as much as we can by having garage sales and selling things out of the house to get in a better spot.
