hi, i'm jason, and on 2/7 my housemates and i received an email from the property manager of our apartment stating that the home owner is looking to sell this house, and that we have to leave because the only potential buyers they have are interested in living here themselves. essentially, the home we have lived in for three years is being sold out from under us.

we technically have until 6/30 to move out, since that is the end of our lease, but we would prefer to be out of there sooner rather than later. i have found a couple of promising places within our budget, but getting started will still be very difficult for us, as we all just make barely enough to skate by on rent and bills most months, much less to save up for a security deposit and first months' rent on a new place.

we are asking for $4000, which should be enough to cover the cost for most places, or to at least get us to a manageable starting point. If there's anything left over, that would go to other moving expenses, such as settling utility balances and renting a u-haul.
