Help Queer Trans Couple of Color With Bills

Hey, this is Luna and Omari here!

 

First of all, we want to thank how much our community has shown up for us in the past 2 months. The amount of love we've received following our wedding has been A M A Z I N G and we cannot thank you enough for the unconditional love.

 

Unfortunately, finances have been really stressful for us. Sometimes I (Luna) don't eat and just stay at home and avoid spending money because I have an overdrawn account most of the time.

Omari works 6 days a week as a tattoo apprentice with no guarantee of any money and we really need some stability to keep moving forward and be our best, most healed selves.

 

For full transparency, we don't expect to raise $10,000 at all or come close, but this goal is to help us with rent. Our monthly rent costs $2100 and this would allow us to use the money Luna earns for work to buy groceries and pay bills.

 

We also have to pay ConEd, National Grid or our gas will be turned off December 1st if we don't pay $197 in time, two parking tickets, our car note and insurance, personal loans, credit card payments from credit cards we maxed out for survival, etc.

 

We've never been this stressed financially before and we really need your support.

 

We have applied for food stamps and been denied. If you cannot redistribute, please share with your networks and/or donate any supplies you have whether it be vegan food, shampoo, deodorant and toothpaste. These are things we can barely afford at the moment and if you have any extras we would be really grateful going into the holiday season.
