Rebuilding My Life After Domestic Violence

Hi, my name is Queene, and I’m desperately reaching out for help to rebuild my life after escaping an abusive ex who shattered my world. Just when I thought I’d found safety, they broke into my home, destroyed everything I own, and harmed my beloved pets (all 4 of them). I’m in crisis, and I urgently need your support to recover and protect my animals.

For almost 2 years, I was in a DV relationship marked by emotional and physical abuse. I found the strength to leave, hoping to start fresh. But recently, my ex violated my safe space by breaking into my home. They destroyed furniture, clothes, and irreplaceable personal items that held so much meaning. Worst of all, they injured my dogs and cause severe injury resulting in d3ath to my ball python. My pets, who are my family and source of comfort. My pets who were innocent in it all. The betrayal and loss have been overwhelming, and I’m working hard to heal while ensuring my pets get the care they need.

This attack has left me with nothing. Replacing essentials like furniture, bathroom appliances, cabinets, hiring handy men to fix the broken windows, clothing, and household items is more than I can afford right now. This includes all of the glass in my yard as well as glass of all sizes coving the floors in my home.

Veterinary bills for my pets’ injuries are piling up, and I’m exploring options to relocate to a safer home with better security. I’m also seeking therapy to process the trauma and regain my strength. These steps are critical, but they come with costs I can’t cover alone.
