Hi, my name is Hank, and I’m a close friend of Quovada Bass — known and loved by many of us simply as “Q.”
Q has been in the hospital for over a month, and this week he will be transitioning into hospice care. This has been an incredibly emotional time for him and for everyone who loves him. Along with the emotional weight of this journey, there is also a growing financial burden for his family.
If you knew Q, you knew his heart. He loved Cleveland sports — especially the Browns — and could always be counted on to talk game day, win or lose. He had a deep love for art and was always encouraging others to create. To Q, it didn’t matter what kind of art it was — drawing, painting, comics, anything — he believed everyone had creativity in them, and he was always willing to help someone find it.
Q also had a gift for helping people through life’s hard seasons. He reminded others that there are dark days and bright days, and that the bright ones are worth fighting for. He loved Magic: The Gathering, reading and watching comics, walking his dog, and riding his motorcycle whenever the Cleveland weather gave him the chance.
Right now, we want to show up for Q the same way he has shown up for so many others.
We are raising funds to help cover medical expenses, hospice care, and to ease the financial stress on his family so they can focus on what truly matters — spending time with Q and surrounding him with love and comfort.
If you’re able to donate, any amount truly helps. If you can’t give right now, sharing this page would mean just as much.
Thank you for keeping Q and his loved ones in your thoughts, prayers, and hearts.
