Hi everyone, my name is Pyper.
As long as I can remember—since I was around five years old—I knew deep down that I was a girl. At the time I didn’t have the words to explain it, but the feeling was always there. It took many years for me to find the courage and strength to come out and live authentically. That journey hasn’t been easy, but choosing to live as my true self has been the most important decision of my life.
For years I’ve worked two to three jobs at a time to fund my transition and get myself as far as I have today. I’m proud of the sacrifices and determination it took to reach this point. However, the next phase of my journey involves gender-affirming surgeries that will help me finally feel at home in my body.
One complication I face is that I was born with Hemophilia B, a blood disorder that makes surgery higher risk. Because of this, additional medical precautions, specialists, and hospital care are required, which significantly increases the cost.
I struggled with whether I should create this fundraiser. With the current political climate surrounding transgender healthcare, I worried about opening myself up to criticism simply for trying to live authentically. But after years of working nonstop to get myself this far, I realized I cannot complete this journey entirely on my own.
My goal is to raise money to help cover surgical costs and the additional medical care required due to my condition.
If you are able to donate, share, or send words of encouragement, it would truly mean the world to me. Every bit of support helps bring me closer to completing this journey and continuing to live confidently as the woman I’ve worked so hard to become.
Thank you so much for reading and supporting me.
With love and gratitude,
Pyper
