Hello there :) For the past 2.5 years my life has been one massive adventure making this hell of a film - "MY PLAYGROUND".
The story creates a window into the world of BMX and brings us back to the little kid inside.
SYNOPSIS:
The film is now edited, sound mixed, titles added, posters created. It's done!
But what now? How will anybody see it?
After all the hard work behind this story, I don't want to just post it online. Lost in the online rabbit hole with no feedback.
It belongs on the screens around the world, in physical cinemas where people can come together and experience it as a community. This is what film is all about. Initiate a conversation, laugh and be surprised together.
As an independent filmmaker, there is no better reward than seeing this project create a community and an experience offline. With a proper space to embrace the film. This thought kept me going for 2 years.
Your donations will allow me to :
- send the film to some of the coolest film festivals worldwide with proper cinema screenings and communities watching them in different parts of the world
- I will also be able to organise a premiere screening and invite people from the film to ACTUALLY see it for the first time with me! This thought alone makes me tear up.
- I will be able to take the film to a UK based film market and do a screening for potential distribution agents. I see the potential of this film going to streaming platforms.
I want to keep telling stories. I believe in author films. I believe in staying playful in life.
I don't believe that just because you are not a production company or don't get a large distribution budget, the film is dead. Not in 2025!
This film is not only centered on BMX,
it is about life and how we live it.
