Help Put My House and Life Back Together

Hi, my name is Wendy. Those who know me, know I am not the type of person who likes to ask for help.... to a fault. Starting a Go Fund Me was not something I had even thought about doing until a few asked if I had one set up. So, this is me, setting up the account, asking for assistance with the unexpected expenses I am incurring due to events on the morning of 06/07/2023.
At 4:30 am that day, my daughter, her boyfriend, my 18 month old grandson & I were woken up by what we thought was an earthquake. After jumping out of bed & running around in a panic trying to determine what happened, I went out to the front of my home to find a car had crashed through a tree in my front yard, went over my retaining wall, hit the front end of my car, through my downstairs office area & garage, and then almost fully out the other side of the house. The force of the impact to the house has moved the outerwall from the foundation, the front portion of my house (under where my family was sleeping) must stay supported so it does not collapse, my inner walls & ceiling have cracks and the door from my garage to my laundry room was broken from the frame. Miraculously, my family & I were physically unscathed and the driver suffered only a few broken ribs & a collapsed lung. (The driver was interviewed in the ER and told the officer she had gotten into a fight with her boyfriend, took 10 Valium & then a drive. Being that relaxed probably saved her life.) I started with my insurance company thinking I would be able to move the claims to hers once I had the information, however, they have sent me a letter stating she has only 25K in coverage & there are other claims against those funds (she it a few mailboxes before she got to me.) I now find myself in the position of having to pay deductibles for both my home & car, for the portion of the rental I'm driving my insurance won't cover & then additional uncovered expenses of things you don't think about until you have to like storage containers for items they will not store in the container with my house goods (yard chemicals, paints, mowers, gas for the mowers), locks for the metal container they have my possesions in, higher utility bills due to the gaping hole in my house, tree & stump removal, putting my landscaping back together, my yard resodded, and I'm sure more I do not even know of yet. As of now, my car won't be ready for another 3 to 4 weeks, my house could be 3 to 6 months before it is all done, and it could be up to a year for reimbursement for personal items destroyed that were not salvagable inside & outside of the house. Any little amount you choose to help with is TREMENDOUSLY appreciated and know any amount I collect over what I do truly need I plan to donate to the food bank & animal shelter.
