Our Paulette (Everybody’s Helper)!
Our dear friend and family member, Paulette Bridges was hospitalized on November 29th, 2021 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). During her hospitalization, Paulette had ¼ of her left foot amputated as a result of poor blood circulation. Prior to being admitted, she said, “God, you got me”.
Paulette was discharged from UMMC on December 13th, 2021 to return home. However on December 19th, she was re-admitted to UMMC due to a blood clot that prevented blood flow to that particular foot again. The doctors were able to restore blood flow and save the remainder of her left foot. It was during her most recent hospital stay that her doctors discovered she had Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and subsequently identified blockages to her heart. This critical discovery resulted in implantation of five stents to help restore her heart function.
Since December 30th, 2021, Paulette has been undergoing rehab at the Methodist Rehabilitation Center in preparation for her return home. In typical Paulette fashion, she is in high spirits and excited about each day of her life. She continues to say, “God, you got me”.
To help assist Paulette in her recovery, friends and family are pooling together funds to support her rehabilitation. As anyone who has ever been affiliated with Paulette knows, if you were in need of help, she was always there to fill your need. Now it is time for us to fill a need for our friend for God works through us to assist his people. And Paulette Bridges is definitely one of his people!
Join us in “Blessing Her to Get Well Soon!” Our goal: It is our time to show that we care for all she has done to guide and support others to success. If everyone contributes a little, God will do the rest!
