Hello my name is Lyndsey Dyke and I am 18 years old a recent High school graduate. I have 2 brothers, Ethan (21) with Down syndrome and Derrik (27). On July 27th 2023, at around 1:52 am we lost our mother to gun violence in the area of 240th and 112th st in Kent, Washington. Our mother, Amy Dyke, was shot in the head causing extensive brain damage and was pronounced brain dead on July 28 at around 2:30 pm. We have started this GoFundMe to help raise money for funeral services due to no life insurance. The money raised will also go to help our family start our lives over and get us into a home we can call our own. For 8 years now, our family has been experiencing homelessness and both my parents lost their jobs at the start of Covid. My fathers car is also going to die on him any day now. My parents health has been declining these past few years and my father needs major reconstructive surgery on both his feet. Our mother was a very kind, loving, strong women that always wanted to put others before herself. And even though she is gone all she would want is to see us happy and living together again.
