Hello Everyone,

My name is Sourabh, and I’m reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your help for my mother, Pushpa Devi, who is once again fighting a battle with ovarian cancer.

My mother came to Canada in October 2022 to spend time with her family, never imagining that her visit would turn into a fight for her life. Soon after arriving, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. In January 2023, she went through a major surgery to remove both ovaries, followed by months of chemotherapy. It was a painful and exhausting journey, but she faced it all with incredible courage and faith.

Our family stood together and managed to cover her first treatment costs through savings and the help of loved ones. We were filled with hope when she began to recover and slowly return to her joyful self.

But recently, our worst fears came true the cancer has returned. The doctors have now recommended another surgery and six rounds of chemotherapy. The total cost for this treatment is around $40,000 CAD, excluding medications and aftercare.

Because my mother is a visitor in Canada, her medical treatment is not covered. She has no family back home who can care for her, and sending her away in this condition is not an option. She needs to stay here, where she has her children and proper medical support around her.

My mother is a kind person and spent her life putting others before herself offering warmth, wisdom, and care to everyone she meets. Seeing her go through this pain again has been heartbreaking, but her strength inspires us every day to keep fighting for her.

We are doing everything we can, but the financial strain has become overwhelming. That’s why I am turning to our community for help.
