My name is Janice Higgins and I am the creator of the gofundme page for Nkuutu and the children. Allen and myself are very heartbroken and disappointed to report to you that we have discovered Nkuutu has been scamming us all! He is a fake and a fraud! He has been deceiving us the whole time. We were going to present this fundraiser to our church this week so we could get our church family behind this event - and then to the local radio station. So this past weekend we talked with Nkuutu and asked him to send us his certificates from the past 3 years that he has been doing this ministry, his constitution and national ID so we could show our pastor along with our presentation. Well, come to find out the documents he sent us are all fraudulent. His National ID is a forgery too. There are all kinds of mistakes and misprints! We have a friend in Uganda at another missionary who confirmed all of this. So then we called the government office this morning and the official there confirmed our suspicions - there was no certificate with that number - no such person. So then we contacted Nkuutu by video call and asked him to explain, and he made every excuse in the book to explain - it was very sad. But just so you donors know - he is a scammer trying to get us 'stupid Americans who will believe anything you tell them' to donate and send him money. All the children are to be registered and numbered with the government - and all listed in his constitution - and there is none of that. So we all have been 'dupped' and taken advantage of. The name that we use to send money to him personally - under the name of MWANJA YAKUBA - well that is a sham too! He told me that is his real name - yet his national ID has his real name on it with his picture that says Nkuutu Samuel. But he said his national ID is not a forgery! He was spinning so many lies it made my head spin! and he obviously couldn't keep up with his lies. There's so much more - too much to say here - but I felt you all needed to know!
