Help Purchase Insulin for People in Ukraine

My name is Judith, and I am helping to fundraise money to purchase insulin on behalf of the Ukraine Care Initiative, which started as a response to the war in Ukraine. Ukraine Care Initiative has been started by a group of students at LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania.
As a part of the initiative, we have been both assisting refugees who arrived in Lithuania and helping to collect aid for Ukrainians that stay in the combat zone. We opened an info center in the main square of Klaipeda where we physically collected donations. We have managed to raise over 1600 EUR. With these donations, we have already bought 233 doses of different insulin and sent them to Chernihiv, Ukraine. Other volunteers on the site have distributed this life-saving medication to those who are insulin-dependent. You can find some illustrative photos of what we did below.
Here in Klaipeda, we work in cooperation with local organizations that help us. In particular, with the Ukrainian community center “Rodyna” and Klubas Diabeto IQ which assists us in purchasing insulin.
Today, people in the combat zone whose lives are dependent on insulin cannot receive it due to the destruction of supply chains. This situation endangers their lives and leaves hope only for volunteers and compassionate people. Ukrainian soldiers are fighting to liberate these people and we have to help preserve their lives. Therefore, we are launching an online fundraiser to buy more insulin and send it to Ukraine ASAP.

With our current aim to raise €5000, we will be able to purchase 700 doses of insulin along with needles and indicators, which are vital for insulin-dependent people. Without it, people might simply die. Once we purchase the insulin, it will be sent from Klaipeda, Lithuania to Poltava, Ukraine, where a local organization will take care of its distribution according to people's needs.
