Help purchase a Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel

We at the Fledgling Cape Cod Military Museum have been presented an excellent opportunity to purchase a Viet Nam-era Landing Craft. This fiberglass boat is almost identical in shape and size to the wooden landing craft used by the men of the Engineer Amphibious Command here on Cape Cod. These are the type of boats famously used in the Movie "Saving Private Ryan". Cape Cod was home to the Headquarters of both the EAC and the Amphibious Training Command. Thousands of troops learned Amphibious tactics here on the Cape. We hope to restore this diesel-powered boat and make it a living and moving memorial to the brave soldiers that landed on Beaches worldwide, freeing the world from Fascism and Imperialism. Please won't you help us acquire tangible reminder of the Greatest Generation?
