Hi,
My name is Henry. I am a puppy mill puppy. In my short life I was born in really horrible conditions,
I have suffered a respiratory infection, surgery on my tummy and I was a day away from being euthanized because I was not perfect enough to make any money for my breeders because, along with my health issues, I have one ear smaller than the other and I am deaf in that ear.
A really nice lady named Susan found me and rescued me. She had just said goodbye to Gracie, another Bassett that they had loved for a very long and happy life. I was very happy. I made friends with Lila and Captain and I was pretty sure life was going to be perfect. I even made friends at my first puppy class!
But...the other night I didn't feel well. Susan and her daughter Sophie stayed up all night with me. They took me to the Vet person in the morning and found out that I have pneumonia in both lungs and a hernia on my diaphragm. I am very sick. the Vet person says it's going to cost a lot of money to make me better. My humans have been crying and that makes me very sad. I want to make them smile. They are very good to me. They say it will take about $9000 to make me better. Unfortunately, they don't have that much money. I was hoping that you  might be able to help. My humans tell me that if we can get 180 other humans to donate $50 we can get me better. Can you help me? Even if you can't do $50, can you donate something? I would really appreciate it because I want to see my humans smile again. I don't have much time, so can you please help me today?
